TIE offers a Digital Workshop on TIE’s tried-and-true techniques for bringing theatrical intimacy work into the classroom and rehearsal studio, handling tricky casting situations, and writing a policy for your department or theatre company.

Theatrical Studio Techniques picks up where Best Practices leaves off. This workshop will explore vulnerability in a professional and respectful manner, and clarify the distinction between discomfort and personal boundaries. Casting and policy will cover industry protocols, our casting Best Practices, policies, and procedures, as well as boundary-breaking issues.

We proudly offer tiered pricing to ensure all participants have access to high-quality training, regardless of their economic circumstances. Please pick the price point that best reflects your training budget. If you can afford a higher tier, please consider upgrading to reserve a spot for someone with a more limited budget.

All participants, regardless of price, receive the same 6-hour workshop.

We cannot offer refunds. However, if you need to make an exchange for credit or transfer to another workshop, a small administrative fee will apply. Please notify us 14 days in advance of your scheduled workshop. Click here for details.

Space in Digital Workshops is limited to ensure the best experience for our participants. Workshops are live; we do not currently offer recordings. Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and class sizes are limited to ensure educational quality.

After you complete your registration, you will receive an email with additional information and helpful links. You will receive an email with the Zoom link one day before the workshop. 

The Best Practices Digital Workshop or a comprehensive TIE workshop (i.e., Workshop Weekend) is a prerequisite for most other Theatrical Intimacy Education Digital Workshops. This ensures that all participants are familiar with TIE's approach and vocabulary, thereby improving educational quality. While we will do our best to assist you, we cannot guarantee a response to requests for workshop links or access information received less than one hour before the training begins. Requests submitted within one hour of the start of a workshop are not eligible for transfer credits if access information was not received because the spam, junk, or promotions folder was unchecked.
