Tiffani Brooks Hagan (She/Her)

Presentations: “Graduate Student Intimacy Choreographers: A Round-Table Discussion”
Tiffani Brooks Hagan is a current graduate student at the University of Kansas, pursuing her PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies. She is a director, dramaturg, and intimacy choreographer whose research focuses on pedagogical practices in the rehearsal space. Tiffani holds a Bachelor of Arts in musical theatre and history from Converse University (2019) and a Master of Arts in theatre studies from the University of South Carolina (2022). She is currently serving as the Managing Editor for the Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism, and she holds a beginner diploma from TIE.

Presentation: Expanding Your Scope: Promoting Mental Health in Your Intimacy Work
Cutter Ray Palacios is a LA & ABQ-based certified Intimacy Coordinator (IPA 2021) and Intimacy Choreographer for Live Performance (IPA 2024), as well as a certified Mental Health Coordinator (AMHC 2024). They serve on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Association of Mental Health Coordinators (AMHC), and chair the Mental Health Initiative within the Sexual Harassment Prevention Committee at SAG-AFTRA’s LA Local. Cutter also served in leadership to Unionize Intimacy Coordinators with SAG-AFTRA.
As an active member of SAG-AFTRA, IATSE Local 80, MPTF Next Gen Performers, New Filmmakers LA, and the Coalition of Labor Union Women, Cutter is deeply engaged in building a cross-disciplinary community. They are primarily known for organizing gatherings that connect intimacy professionals and mental health advocates in the entertainment industry.
Cutter brings over a decade of experience in film and television, both on- and off-camera. They are also a former 9-1-1 EMT, a certified Wilderness First Responder, and a California Certified Peer Support Specialist with a focus on crisis care. Additionally, Cutter runs a BDSM organization for 18-35 year olds in LA. They hold a Certificate of Achievement in Labor Studies from Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
Jordan Taylor (they/them)
Presentation: Consent is Covid Justice
Jordan Taylor (they/them) is a Chicago-based theatre-maker, peer supporter, and an aspiring intimacy director who is rooted in a Disability Justice and Covid Justice practice. Jordan received their MFA from Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House. Jordan brings years of advocacy experience here in Chicago around COVID safety in the performing arts.
Jordan is presently building a Covid-Conscious Theatre Collective centering Black, Indigenous Theatre Artists of Color who have been actively excluded from theatre spaces.
Jordan currently works as a Peer Support Specialist at Trans Lifeline - an anti-carceral grassroots/microgrants organization offering direct emotional and financial support for the trans community, by the trans community.

Jasmine Nicole is an Intimacy and Mental Health Coordinator based in Los Angeles. They have worked on several Vertical productions, including shows for ReelShort and DramaBox. Jasmine has also helped organize their local community (Los Angeles Intimacy Discord) around negotiating fair wages and contract standardization for non-union productions, with a focus on Verticals filming in the Greater Los Angeles area. Cara Rawlings is an intimacy and fight director and theatre movement educator based in Southwest Virginia, where she is Associate Professor of Movement and Acting at Virginia Tech. An IDC Certified Intimacy Director and former Teaching Artist and SAFD Certified Stage Combat Instructor, Rawlings has choreographed intimacy, fights, and movement for over 100 productions in professional and academic theatre. Her research is focused on gender issues in stage combat; fall prevention through stage combat training; a unique psychophysical approach to actor training based on contemporary violence choreography methodologies; and consent-based approaches to teaching in K-12 arts programs and in stage combat training, choreography, and performance.
