This energizing, practice-led workshop is designed for directors, movement practitioners, intimacy coordinators, choreographers and directors, and artists who want to deepen their embodied craft and strengthen collaborative storytelling. Across two focused hours, participants will unpack the role of the movement director, from building shared physical language to leading creative exploration with clarity, responsiveness, and care.

Participants will explore the tools, tasks, and embodiment practices that shape the physical life of storytelling across theatre, screen, and live performance. From there, the session examines how this embodied foundation can enrich intimacy practice by supporting more precise physical vocabulary, stronger storytelling intention, and consent-led processes that centre artist safety and agency.
