Two-Hour Tips: Fat Performers and Intimacy

TIE presents Fat Performers and Intimacy. Fat performers move through a world that not only still frequently finds it difficult to imagine fat people in romance narratives, but which often literally isn't built for them. A little foresight on the part of designers and choreographers can allow fat performers to spend more time focusing on their craft and less time educating and advocating for what they need for their bodies to find the same access to a space and process as their straight-sized counterparts. Participants learn tools and considerations for supporting fat performers in this two-hour workshop.
Note: "fat" is used both in this description and in the workshop as a value-neutral adjective in alignment with the fat acceptance movement.

Space in Digital Workshops is limited to ensure the best experience for our participants. Workshops are live; we do not currently offer recordings. Classes are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and class sizes are limited to ensure educational quality.

Requests submitted within one hour of the start of a workshop are not eligible for transfer credits if access information was not received because the spam, junk, or promotions folder was unchecked.
