Acting is risky! Creating a culture of consent is essential for fostering spaces where acceptable risks are taken. This TIE workshop equips educators, directors, and facilitators with tools to integrate consent-based practices into acting classrooms and rehearsal spaces. Participants will explore strategies for establishing boundaries, building ensemble trust, and incorporating consent-forward language into scene work, partner exercises, and physical storytelling. This workshop offers practical frameworks to support students' well-being while preserving artistic rigor. Whether you're new to this work or deepening an existing practice, you'll leave with adaptable tools for cultivating respect, agency, and collaboration in performance training.
