While getting her BFA in Acting at Florida State University, Alison also studied and practiced intimacy and fight choreography. She worked with FSU's School of Theatre, College of Motion Picture Arts, and Opera on over 20 productions in two years. She went on to do intimacy coordination for companies such as Pastel and A24 before deciding to channel her knowledge of consent, interpersonal dynamics, and mental health into the field of Social Work. During graduate school, Alison worked as a victim advocate and mental health counselor for university students and deepened her study of sexuality, substance use, trauma, and mediation. Alison graduated in May 2024 with a Master of Social Work from Colorado State University and now works in the Denver, Colorado area as a clinical social worker providing therapy services to people of all ages. As a social worker, Alison recognizes the relationships between individuals and the larger systems they exist in. Alison taught Mental Health First Aid for TIE for five years and is excited to continue supporting TIE in various educational capacities.
