Alexandra Haddad is a director and intimacy professional based in New York City and the DMV area. Her intimacy choreography has been seen onstage at McCarter Theatre Center, Arena Stage, Shakespeare and Company, and undergraduate academic institutions across the East Coast. She is a Visiting Artist at Barnard College of Columbia University, providing introductory intimacy and consent-centered tools for undergraduate theatre classes as well as intimacy choreographing their theatrical productions. She also works as an intimacy coordinator for the screen, collaborating with directors and producers to provide a transparent, smooth process from pre-production to shooting. In her work and her life, Alex centers women, the queer community, & people of the Global Majority. She has extensive experience choreographing sensitive content with young and/or emerging artists, as well as high school students. As a child of immigrants and a person of mixed heritage, Alex is particularly interested in work by, for, and about people of the global majority, as well as anti-racist and decolonizing practices of performance art. @alexhad
