Alexandra Haddad (she/her) is an intimacy and fight choreographer based in Brooklyn, NY. She holds an Advanced Plus Diploma from Theatrical Intimacy Education, where she is also Associate Faculty.
Off-Broadway and regional: THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Fight & Intimacy Director, Small Boat), SLAUGHTER CITY (Fight & Intimacy Director, Small Boat), SUMO (Associate Fight & Intimacy Director, The Public/Ma-Yi), MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Intimacy Choreographer Shakespeare & Company), RIDE THE CYCLONE (Intimacy Choreographer, McCarter/Arena Stage). She also directs, produces, and writes, centering those not wholly represented onstage, including women, the queer community, & people of the Global Majority.
Directing world premieres include Vaibu Mohan’s BOUND TO YOU (Live and In Color), Kenjiro Lee’s ICE STATION ALPHA (Leviathan Lab/NYSF), Jason Wang’s GLOBLORD (Write Club), Scarlett Long & Wren Mied’s WONG SIDE OF TIME (SheNYC/Epheverie). Ongoing new work development includes collaborations with playwrights Abigail Duclos and Joshua Taylor Piper. Assistant directing: INTO THE WOODS (FAIR Assistantship with Oregon Shakespeare Festival), RICHARD II (Smith Street Stage), LOVE’S LABOR’S LOST (SDCF Fellowship with Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival).
