This Certification is offered by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is only available to those living and working in the U.S. If you live and work internationally please reach out to discuss other options.

Mental Health First Aid is an early intervention public education program. In this workshop, you will practice recognizing signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge, discuss how to listen non-judgmentally, learn how to give reassurance to a person who may be experiencing a mental health challenge, and also learn how to refer a person to appropriate professional support and services.

Important Notes:

  • This workshop *requires* participants to have their cameras on for the full duration of the workshop. This is a requirement from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing (NCMW). If this does not work for your boundaries, this is not the right workshop for you.

  • Attendees must be living and/or working in the USA in order to participate in this certification.

  • There are no refunds or exchanges for this workshop.

  • Registration for all MHFA Workshops will close 14 days prior to the workshop.

  • This workshop will make use of the full 7 hours with short breaks.

  • This is a certification is specific to the United States. The certification is granted through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and is not a TIE certification. TIE does not offer certification in any intimacy specialties.

  • Participants must be prepared to do 2-hours of pre-work before the start of the live class as well as a comprehension quiz and evaluation after in order to receive their certification.

  • CONTENT DISCLOSURE
    This training deals with sensitive content including suicide, self-harm, violence, aggression, substance misuse, overdose, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and occasionally eating disorders. For more information, email mhfa@theatricalintimacyed.com .

There is no waitlist for Digital Workshops. Classes are first-come, first-serve, and class sizes are limited to maintain educational quality.

There is no TIE pre-requisite for this course.

The Best Practices Digital Workshop or a comprehensive TIE workshop (i.e. Workshop Weekend) is a pre-requisite for most other Theatrical Intimacy Education Digital Workshops. This ensures that all participants are conversant in TIE's specific approach and vocabulary to ensure educational quality for all participants.
